About Andrew Chambi

I'm a Londoner, an energy consultant, and a drone pilot.

I grew up in London in a Greek Cypriot family and I speak Greek. I studied Zoology with Animal Ecology at Bangor and graduated in 2004.

My first career was with animals. I spent eight years at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, working as a veterinary nurse and in lost and found. It taught me to stay calm, work carefully and deal with people on bad days.

I moved into building energy after that, and I've now spent nine years in it. I've worked across commercial and residential projects, first at Develeco Projects and now at Workplace Futures Group.

Credentials

• CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant (LCC)
• Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA)
• Elmhurst On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA)
• BSc Zoology with Animal Ecology, Bangor, 2004

Outside work

I fly FPV drones and run Aetos FPV, which films fly-through videos of buildings and spaces.

I still keep an eye on London's wildlife, I make fruit vinegars at home, and I read a lot about money and economics.
