Energy consulting
Andrew Chambi works with property owners, investors and design teams on building energy and carbon.
I usually run eight to ten client accounts at once, from single residential schemes to office portfolios. The common thread is turning modelling and regulation into decisions people can act on.
CRREM stranding risk
I model when an asset's energy and carbon intensity will cross its CRREM pathway, and test which interventions push that date back. This feeds into investment and refurbishment decisions.
NABERS UK
Operational energy ratings for offices, based on real metered energy rather than design assumptions.
BREEAM
Energy and comfort credits, particularly ENE 01 (energy performance), ENE 04 (low carbon design) and HEA 04 (thermal comfort).
Part L, Part O and overheating
Compliance modelling for Part L, Part O overheating assessments, and CIBSE TM52 and TM59 analysis. Also TM54 operational energy predictions.
Modelling and EPCs
Dynamic simulation in IES VE, which I've used for nine years, plus SAP calculations and EPC lodgements.
Tools I build
A lot of energy work is repetitive. I automate it in Excel where I can, which speeds up reporting and cuts errors.
